Joel Marquez, age 21, of Stratford, was arrested on Wednesday, April 19, and charged with possession of child pornography, said the Stratford Police on Facebook.
Stratford detectives, who are members of the Internet Crimes Task Force, investigated Marquez’s actions which led to a search warrant for his electronic devices, police said.
The warrant search revealed Marquez had downloaded 22 photos and 117 videos showing pubescent and prepubescent girls in sex acts, police said.
Marquez was released on a $50,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, May 2 in Bridgeport.
